We would like to thank all the lovers of stereoscopic 3D movies for attending the first festival of artistic, independent and experimental movies in Prague Parallax 2011. Organiation of this festival was organizational and technological challenge for our CIANT team and we believe we have dealt with it succesfully.

During one day, we presented in Kino Lucerna altogether 22 movies by 20 different directors from 12 countries including USA, Columbia or Japan. The shortest film lasted 1minute and 28 seconds, the longest one 103 minutes. There were documentaries, music videos, dance movies, animations, experiments and feature movies. Festival presented 3 different stereoscopical technologies: large 3D flatscreens using polarized light,  also the anaglyph system using colour filters and the DOLBY 3D system combining both these approaches. Besides watching the movies, visitors were invited to take part on brief seminar about basics of S3D film making and discussion about New possibilities of S3D for art. In the festival lounge – Lucerna Cafe – visitors could experience stereoscopy in an interactive way thanks to two installations. Now CIANT team is already working on preparations of Parallax 2012.
